An abortion, also called an induced abortion is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy. An abortion can occur in many situations. Listed below are the most common reasons women go through this process:
An unplanned pregnancy
If they're not ready to be a parent
If they're in an unsafe relationship
If the cause of the pregnancy was sexual assault or rape
They just don't want to be a parent
They want to be good parents to the kid that they already have
It's not a good time in their life for them to have a baby
They want to finish school before they have kids
The pregnancy puts their life in danger
The fetus will not survive the pregnancy or will suffer after birth
And that's only the beginning.
Abortions are actually quite common. Did you know that one in four women have an abortion before they turn 45?
Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24th, 2022. The laws against safe and legal abortions can try to lower abortion rates, but in truth, they just force women to get unsafe abortions. Because of the new laws abortions have become more expensive, making it harder for women to get abortions.
Go to Planned Parenthood to find about what they do.
